I've had the same headache on and off since Monday. I've been popping whatever I can get my hands on to deal with it, and it only seems to take the edge off. This morning I woke up with it and the pain has made itself very comfortable in my brain, thus making the collective rest of myself very uncomfortable. Regardless, I have made a commitment to be as much a part of the deviant art community as I possibly can.

I've been mum about my self, so we'll start things out with a little sharing time!

Five things you do not know about me -
1. My first name is really Misty. My middle name is Dawn. I was named after the the Def Leppard song 'Misty Dreamer (Tomorrow Seems Like Yesterday).' You can call me Misty or any variation of my deviant art screen name-doohicky.
2. I am twenty-three years old. (zomg I'M SO OLD. It's okay because I still get carded for rated-R movies.)
3. I have a degree in Creative Writing, not Art or Illustration, though one of my degree requirements was a public showing of my work, which did incorporate illustrations with my writing.
4. I am working on my first novel.
5. I currently live with my dad, my little sister, a cat named Chip and three gerbils. I'll be moving away from this place the third week of June.

I'm a writer moonlighting as an artist.

Two or three weeks ago, right about when the art dried up, I lost my job. It's okay, because it was a very bad job. I suppose I've been moping though. I'm just getting over it now, but that's because I have so much to look forward to in the next few weeks.

I ordered three new 12 ct. sets of Prismacolor markers last night in a fit of art-related frenzy. My bank account took a slight dive, but I think it is going to be worth it. I needed to replenish nine of my markers and I wanted some more different colors. I was really eying the 48 ct. set with carrying case, but I could not rationalize purchasing the same colors I have already. I would rather save up for something spectacular, like the 156 ct. set. The store I order from (Carpe Diem Art Supply: [link]) is the cheapest place I have found that sells Prismacolor markers.
